Lists – where would we be without them

I love lists. I have lists for everything

They had been so helpful in the past, I had always been given the correct phrase and it always worked.  It never crossed my mind to check!

Hello!

I'm Debs, and you've found
my little corner of the internet

I am a happily married mum of three. Our house is home to myself, my husband, three children and a huge variety of special educational needs and disabilities (ranging from severe visual impairment to autism, from speech and communication issues to dyspraxia and from osteoarthritis to vertigo) and it's also home to one very very nutty dog.

Life is never ever dull!

I hope you enjoy reading my posts, please
feel free to leave your comments and thoughts.

Set up a new website today for the kids to keep their grandparents, who are all doing the social distancing, up to date and entertained.

Set it up so kids can email their posts directly to the site without me having to be involved.

Should have known it was going to go wrong when my youngest asked "how do you spell Jack as in Jack Shit?"

*Adds spelling, grammar and thesaurus to the learning schedule*

Your challenge today is all about getting ready.......

If schools close and you are indoors with your kids for quite some time, what will you be able to do to keep them occupied.

Of course, some schools will set school work but this may not take all day. How can you and the kids stay occupied?

Make a list today of things you can do. Think of board games, search lego challenges, think of re-organising a room, think of the jobs like clearing the loft, look for 30 day challenges, ask on social media for suggestions, find out if local groups are meeting virtually, etc. I know some people will have children too young or not able to help clear lofts, etc - these are all just suggestions.

Some of you may not have children at home, so write a list of those jobs you keep putting off or forgetting to do.

Share your ideas with us on here so people can be inspired.

Your challenge today is under the sink - that place where cleaning products go after purchasing because you saw someone recommending it in a group, and then you forget you have it and go back to what you always use!

So have a blitz and group things together. Do not throw things away - in the next few months, they may become like gold dust so keep hold but organise them - things to clean, things to disinfect, things for carpets, things for washing, etc.

For those of you who use post it notes to write your to do items, I cane across this and thought it may be helpful. Rather than sticking them to desks and monitors where they fall off - put them in a notebook in an organised fashion

Your challenge today is DVDs. How many do you have but never watch (and never will)? How many are no longer age appropriate for your kids?
I’m on a mission today. My husband has a huge dvd collection and despite many “words being exchanged” about what he can do with them, he refuses to let them go. So I’ve bought some clear folders that fit the dvd and the cover - they take up less than half the space and it means I get some storage back!
Have fun.
Make a pile of “I’ll watch this again and again”, “I’ll watch these if I need a laugh”.
Or just do A to Z (and then worry about does “the Firm” come under T or F?) 😂
